Couples massage in Madrid: what a session for two is really like

A couples massage in Madrid sounds simple until you try to book one and the questions start. Are you really in the same room? Do you both get the same pressure? What happens with the clothes, the shower, the time before and after? This guide answers all of that in the order you will live it, so you can walk in knowing exactly what the next hour or two will look like.

We run rituals for two at our studio on Calle Justiniano, in the Justicia neighbourhood. The booking page, with prices and live availability, is the couples massage page. What follows is the longer, more human version: what it feels like, what to decide beforehand, and which ritual suits which kind of plan.

The short version

  • Same room, same time, one therapist for each of you.
  • The room is private: no other couples, no shared circuit.
  • Each of you chooses your own pressure.
  • Four rituals, from 60 to 120 minutes, from 169 € to 225 € for both.
  • Every ritual ends with water and a glass of cava, or tea.
The four rituals

  • Lovers, 60 min, 169 €
  • Rain Harmony, 80 min, 199 €
  • Royal Suite Experience, 120 min, 189 €
  • Anniversary Ritual, 120 min, 225 €

What is a couples massage, exactly?

It is a simultaneous massage for two people, in the same private room, with two therapists working at the same rhythm. You lie on side by side tables. Nobody takes turns and nobody waits outside. That is the whole idea: the experience is shared, but each body gets its own attention.

It is worth saying what it is not. It is not a massage class where you learn to massage each other, and it is not two separate appointments that happen to overlap in a busy spa. If a place cannot confirm that the room is only yours, you are booking something different.

Worth talking about before you go

A couples massage goes best when you have had a short conversation beforehand. Does one of you get cold easily, or dislike strong scents? Does one of you want to chat and the other to switch off completely? Is this a celebration you want to mark, or simply a quiet evening together? None of these need a big plan, but knowing them helps you choose the ritual and tell the therapists what matters. It also avoids the most common small letdown: one person expecting a romantic occasion and the other expecting a sports massage.

The technique we use

All four of our rituals share the same foundation: a synchronised, energising full body massage with essential oils, blending movements from Filipino massage, which is enveloping and rhythmic, with the deeper pressure of Thai massage. The aim is simple: work on the areas where tension builds up, and give you both the space to switch off.

The part couples appreciate most is that you do not have to agree. One of you can ask for firm pressure and the other for gentle work, in the same session. Each therapist adapts to the person on their table.

The session, step by step

This is how a 120 minute ritual unfolds. The 60 and 80 minute rituals follow the same spirit with fewer stages.

Arrival

You arrive, sit for a moment and have a welcome drink. The therapists ask each of you what you are looking for and how much pressure you like, plus anything they should know: injuries, sensitive areas, pregnancy. Answer separately and honestly. This is the only planning the session needs.

Sauna for two

In the 120 minute rituals, the session begins in a private sauna. It is a quiet, warm start, and for many couples the first moment in weeks when neither of them is looking at a phone.

Body scrub

A manual scrub that leaves the skin soft and ready for the oil massage. It is done by the therapists, so you just lie back.

Rain shower

A sensory rain shower for two, the point where preparation turns into massage. Couples often tell us this is the moment they remember most.

The synchronised massage

The heart of the session. Four hands working in sync, on two tables next to each other, with essential oils and the pressure each of you chose. You can talk a little, or not at all. Most couples end up in silence without planning to.

The toast

Every ritual closes with mineral water and a chilled glass of cava, or tea if you prefer. There is no rush to get dressed and leave.

Which of the four rituals to choose

The massage is the same foundation in all four. What changes is time, water and ceremony.

Ritual Length Price for two What is included Best for
Lovers 60 min 169 € Welcome drink, synchronised massage with essential oils, water and cava A first time or a weekday treat
Rain Harmony 80 min 199 € Synchronised massage and a rain shower for two, with water, cava or tea More than a massage, less than two hours
Royal Suite Experience 120 min 189 € Sauna for two, manual body scrub, sensory shower and synchronised massage in a premium suite The full circuit at the best price per minute
Anniversary Ritual 120 min 225 € Private sauna, body scrub, rain shower, synchronised massage in a premium suite and a final toast Anniversaries, birthdays and special celebrations

Extras you can add

When you book, the form lets you add extras before choosing a time: a sauna for the 60 and 80 minute rituals (20 €), a manual body scrub (25 €), thirty extra minutes of massage (35 €), a Kobido facial massage (30 €), romantic decoration (25 €) or premium cava (20 €). They are added to the ritual price.

Practical questions couples ask before booking

  • Clothes. You do not need to bring anything. Everything you need for the session is at the studio.
  • Different pressure. Fine, and common. Tell your own therapist.
  • Talking. Allowed. Silence is also completely normal.
  • Health. If either of you is pregnant, has a recent injury, a heart condition or doubts about the sauna, tell us when you book. A massage is a wellness experience, not a medical treatment.
  • Food and drink. Arrive on a light stomach. There is cava at the end, but if you are driving or prefer not to drink, tea or water is always offered.
  • Timing. Allow about fifteen minutes before and after. A 120 minute ritual is roughly a two and a half hour plan.

When to book, and what timing works best

The slots that go first are evenings and weekends, which is exactly when most couples are free. We close at 21:00 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays and at 22:00 from Thursday to Saturday, which makes the natural plan a 60 minute ritual at 19:30 or a 120 minute one at 19:00 (an hour later from Thursday to Saturday), followed by dinner somewhere nearby. On Mondays we are closed.

For two people, book a few days ahead if you want a specific evening. Our median booking is made three days in advance, although one in four bookings is for the same day, so a last minute plan midweek is often possible. Live availability is on the couples massage page, and you can also call or message us on +34 877 24 89 34.

If it is a gift

Rituals for two bought as a gift can be redeemed within six months of the purchase date. Our guide to giving a massage in Madrid covers how to choose and how far ahead to buy, and the gift card page is where you buy it.

If you are more than two

For three people in a private room, our group sessions start at 199 €.

Getting here

Justicia is where you will find us, at Calle Justiniano 9. Coming by metro, Chueca and Alonso Martínez leave you a few minutes away on foot, and Gran Vía and Banco de España work too if you are already in the centre, so neither of you has to worry about parking before a ritual for two. The area is central and discreet, with plenty of places for dinner or a drink afterwards within walking distance. Our Google listing has a 4.6 average from more than 170 reviews.

Frequently asked questions

Are we in the same room during a couples massage?

Yes. You are in the same private room, on side by side tables, each with your own therapist, and the massage happens at the same time. No other couples share the room or the circuit.

Can we have different pressure?

Yes. Each therapist adapts to the person on their table, so one of you can ask for firm pressure and the other for gentle work in the same session.

How much does a couples massage cost in Madrid at The Queen’s Rituals?

Between 169 and 225 euros for both people, depending on the ritual: Lovers 169 euros (60 minutes), Royal Suite Experience 189 euros (120 minutes), Rain Harmony 199 euros (80 minutes) and Anniversary Ritual 225 euros (120 minutes).

Which ritual is best for a first time?

Lovers, at 60 minutes. It includes the essentials: a welcome drink, a synchronised massage with essential oils and a toast at the end. If you want sauna, scrub and shower too, the Royal Suite Experience adds them over 120 minutes.

How far ahead should we book?

A few days ahead for evenings and weekends. Our median booking is three days in advance, and one in four bookings is for the same day, so midweek plans are often possible at short notice.

In short

A couples massage in Madrid with us means a private room, one therapist each, your own pressure, and a toast at the end. Choose Lovers for a first time, Rain Harmony for something in between, and the 120 minute rituals when you want the whole circuit. Book a few days ahead for a weekend evening and the rest takes care of itself.

A conscious and elevated self-care experience in the heart of Madrid.
